Hi there, I'm interested in joining the women's race. I wonder if anyone can answer a couple of my questions?

1. I've never ridden on the track although I do ride a fixie. Having looked at the Herne Hill bike specs, I reckon mine is not exactly right, so I'd need to hire one – I suppose it would be possible on the 24th?
   
2. Ridiculously, I don't have a helmet either – are they for hire too?
   And I suppose I could come as a spectator anyway, right?

Hi tutu!

You can use the hire bikes if yours isn't track ready (no brakes, drop handlebars, appropriate gearing etc),There will be helmets you can borrow.

However if you haven't ridden track before you need to do an induction first.

You have a few chances to do this before the day, this saturday at 1pm or sunday at women's session at 5pm.
Last resort would be on the day of the Track day at 1pm.

Looks like i'm free for this so I'd love to come along to spectate or help if more help is needed. I'm not accredited at HH and cant make it to the beginner session tomorrow so i'm probably gonna miss out on racing.
