I'm not sure if this works or not but those bits on the the end of the axle are the things stopping it from going in. The front hub is the correct width (100mm) but the axle diameter is too big at 9mm instead of 8mm. This could indeed be filed down but I wouldn't want to do it myself and don't know of anywhere that can do it professionally. I'm not sure if the LBS will do or not. If you know of anywhere that can do it please say. The rear however is too wide for the stays, being 120mm instead of 110mm. Those small things on the end of the hub look like they can be removed with a bit of effort, but even then would that be okay? I would still have to have both axles filed down professionally, or just file the front down and buy a rear axle.
