All that weight would remove the fun/joy/freedom of riding a bike.
A car would be more appropriate here.

I'm sort of with you here. But I'd say a motorbike... and probably still try and drop some kit. But each to his own and its always impressive stuff to see.

That said I'd love to do a ride around lake Titicaca.
