David Moyes - medaled at last.

Boro, Portsmouth, Blackburn, Leicester, Swansea all have won trophies.
-
• #85679
As have Birmingham and Wigan
-
• #85680
So except Boro, Portsmouth, Blackburn, Leicester, Swansea, Birmingham and Wigan are there any other teams, deemed not as good as Everton, that have won trophies since the mighty Everton last won anything?

With a narrow criteria of English team winning Prem, FA cup, League cup, a European cup and Charity Shield since 2002 I think we have them all.
-
• #85682
Even winning the Championship Play-Off trophy is better than winning some tin-pot shield in the traditional season curtain raiser.
-
• #85683
Perhaps Everton don't take the League Cup seriously even though it's the easiest route into Europe.
-
• #85684
but liverpool won stuff in that time and we're not very good either
And how much money have Liverpool spunked in that time to still only finish behind us 2 seasons on the trot?
Moyes spent £8m net
-
• #85685
maybe he should have spent more then
like wenger
-
• #85686
19 years between them and no trophies

He didn't call him a talent, he said he's got talent. 'A talent' suggests a young player with potential. Lambert is 31.
Also, you can be a talented journeyman. It suggests that you have underachieved, which if you only got going in your late 20's, like Lambert, is probably true.

All you smug pellets twining about Moyes not winning anything in 11 years and he's already done it with Man Utd are just making yourselves look a bit simple
It's like saying if Lewis Hamilton was driving a Skoda Flavia he would never win fuck all
You look a bit simple if you think in any way that the Charity Shield constitutes winning something.
It's a chuffing friendly match and bears not the slightest resemblance to an actual trophy.
The facts stand. Gollum won fuck all with the tramps except the MLS All Star Trophy.
You really are a bulb at times, no sorry, all of the time.

You always sound like you pick an opinion first then twist the argument to suit it. Poorly.
Talent is in context. Being a journeyman gives no clue to a person's ability or potential. If Rooney was pottering around the midfield for Everton, scoring 5 goals a season he'd be a journeyman. A very talented (in the context of the Premiership) Journeyman never the less. He would have under achieved. A journeyman can both underachieve and overachieve. That depends on whether they are talented in the context of the level they play at.

This. Ta.
Maybe I could have tediously explained every word I used, but then I'd have ended up with a dull five paragraph post which no-one would read, and everyone would think I was a boring cunt.

Errrrr....prickwank, it wasn't me who gave the Charity Shield any kind of merit, it was your plastic comrades harping on about Moyes finally winning something
Let me know when you have something interesting to say

As dull as this is, if it makes you feel better about the combined loss on the two players of about £34m, then fill your boots.
should that be most winningest? I get confused with these americanizations.
