You've got a CDF in the living room, not sold on it?
I'd much rather that than the cannondale I think, for commuter and all weather road riding at least.
As soon as you get some 32c road tyres at 80psi and guards on there you won't care about a bit of weight. And as my dad used to say, riding a heavier bike makes you faster.
