I ‘enjoyed’ that short Herzog documentary/public information film. Wonder how many people will or would change their behaviour as a result of seeing it. Maybe schools should get in there early and show it as a pre-emptive measure.

Watched Demolition Man late last night. For a shit action film it's aged well. Wesley Snipes is ace.

Watched Women Without Men last week
Women Without Men - Official Trailer (IndiePix Films) - YouTube
Best film I've seen for ages
Magical realism
Beautifully filmed with a muted pallet and painterly tableau
Scenes that stick in the head for days after the film ends -

going for Alpha Papa later - preparing to be disappointed - but with an open mind (of pre-disappoinment!)

To all of you who have seen Alpha Papa, is this stuck in your head?

Saw a preview screening of Meet The Millers last night.
Not dreadful... pretty much just the Hangover with a family instead of a stag do. Would probably have been less willing to like it if i'd have paid London prices to see it.

I liked Alpha Papa as well, I was preparing to be let down but I wasn't. Definitely had enough to keep it going, though it wasn't right up there with the second series of I'm Alan Partridge.
Not long before that I finally saw Beasts of the Southern Wild. Loved it.

Not out till next year :(

This week and last week have been rather shite for films imo, loads out but nothing taking my fancy!
Looking forward to elysium tho, District 9 was a surprise but a good surprise.

Kick-Ass 2? I'm weary as Vaughn not directing...
-

Alpha Papa was okay... although what the hell has happened to Alan Partridge? Why is he now cocky, lean and energetic? He seems to be getting progressively younger and hipper and it really makes the character less interesting.

Yeah - even Carrey has said some negative things about KickAss 2.
I decided to watch Sharknado, since it has been sitting on the Sky+ box for a few weeks - total pants as expected.
Want to go see '2 Guns' but just can't be asked to get up and go out.

You know what I meant... Or are you saying it'll be boring?
Finally watched Holy Motors last night. Great stuff.

^ Loved Holy Motors, but it's a bit hate/love I'd imagine.
Saw Susperia with live soundtrack (Belfast film festival, which rocks BTW they always have great events on, showing A Space Odessey in titanic drydock etc.)
Berbian Soundstudio is well worth the watch if you like Giallo/general weird movies (if not already mentioned somewhere in thread)
Last cinema movie I saw was Mama which was pretty good I thought. Started Rust and Bone.
Dead Ringers is old and awesome, Bullhead is very good, recommend Poetry, Enter the Void, Possession, A snake of June and good old Tetsuo Iron Man if you are looking for a brilliant "WTF did I just watch" experience.

Saw Some Like It Hot at an outdoor cinema thing in Lulworth Castle in Dorset on Friday night. Great setting, and a really great film too.

Loved Alpha Papa. As a Patridgeophile I went in there with an open mind, I didn't want to be disappointed, but it was great, and like all his other work will only really come alive when it's out on DVD and I can watch it over and over and start driving Mrs G mad quoting it.
Looking forward to: Elysium, Gravity, Hunger Games 2 and Europa Report

Best laughs per min rate for me regarding AP is probably Mid Morning Matters, even higher than the legendary IAP, just non-stop.
"I would never discharge a firearm in a house of God"
Oblivion. Shit on toast.
