the wednesday night rides are generally 10 miles or so all in and feature a trip to boojum and much shooting of the breeze. there's a mix of fixed, single-speed and geared. all very relaxed. and, with the notable exception of a circuit of the giant's ring (steady) last summer, they are always on the road.
