I think my comment generally has been that US owners completely fail to grasp the differences between the way the professional game is run between the US and Europe. I've mentioned it more than once over the last 1700 pages or so. That was certainly a massive issue with Hicks and Gillette. They've saw what the Glazers did (more market luck than anything else) and assume that it's equally achievable. The Glazers paved the way for corporate governed American ownership approach the way that Abramhovic paved the way for the cash rich foreign sugar daddy model. Which is pretty much the debate going on at the board level at Arsenal.
