• Great photo

  • Results from last week still hasn't been posted.

  • They have now.

Still no results from the team champs though...

  • What was the course de points? A points race?

  • Every lap you get 2 points for the first place. You need to get 6 points, then you're out.

  • First rider across the line each lap scores league points, everyone else scores jack diddly squat. Once you get three laps you're out. Horrible horrible race, nearly as bad as a win-out.

  • Give it 10 minutes or so

  • I've heard it does dry fast. If only they had made those roads out of the same material, when will they learn?

  • ha! I would have ridden straight through that this morning, but I'm waiting for a plumber to come round so working from home. Irony?

  • What an utter nightmare. Those local businesses will suffer...

    twitter

  • Mainly independent shops too for which the costs will be especially hard to bear. Hopefully insurance will help or there will be some recourse from the water company.

  • hope so.

  • Hope the track is fine.

  • Water didn't even make it to the foot of Burbage road. It would have needed to be 4-5 meters deep to get anywhere near the track

  • No problem at the velodrome, currently you can still turn into the Half Moon Lane end of Burbage Road, but only from the east (North Dulwich direction).

The shops got a hammering though.

  • Another fine warm sunny evening of racing. My goodness, the 15km Points Race was fast. I was hanging in there just to stay with it until I got shelled out with 10 laps to go. But did OK in the Handicap sprint; 3rd or 4th so not all bad news.

Anyone ride the Aussie Pursuit? Did you enjoy it?

  • Australian Pursuit was enjoyable, it was a good move to mix with the Handicap sprints though, as i imagine it wouldn't have been as interesting with sprinters catching everyone in the first few laps, then wheezing their way round for another 4 minutes!

Talked to one of the coaches who said he'd see if they will include it in the 'fun' last league session of this season.

  • Would be good to see the results from last week...

  • Same moans every week!

  • Though saying that, I am still down 0.5pts on where I should be

  • Results should be up before racing tonight, there were a few things that needed to be checked.

Tom, email in if your results still aren't' correct. It's unlikely James our results guy is monitoring cycling forums on the off chance someone grumbles. Also, I looked through and the only Tom I can see in that range is now on 5.7 points. Is that correct?

Feel free to volunteer for a night's judging. Gives you a great insight into what a great job the volunteer officials do, and does your bit for the league.

  • Last week in Australian Pursuit I overtook 2 riders and stayed til the end, so that is 2+2+2=6 points. On the results spreadsheet I'm 2nd with 2 points. Not sure how it works.

Also do we need to pay next time or we get a free ride, because this week was rained off?

  • good question!
