Sweet...! Where are the wheel covers from..?

  • They had them laser cut them I think? There's a thread about it on http://scottishbikepolo.co.uk

  • Tourney in Italy..we need 4 more teams to be in 32..check it!!

  • been thinking of using my steamroller as a daily bike and getting something like this for polo:

anyone have any experience with that frame?

  • Lee from Cambridge has been using a plug for years! (welded v-brakes) and it's fine, super strong. Plug frame with some Velvet forks could be a killer combo, you'd never need a custom bike!

  • Isn't a plug pretty similar to a steamroller in terms of geo?

  • Has anyone had any experience of the fixiefoxie polo f&f? I rode Paul's around a bit a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. Has anyone broke one yet? They seam like a good deal for €350 shipped.

Zsofia's was hideously late, and had the bosses in the wrong place.

  • My teammate Gert helped develop their first polo frame and has been happy with his one for about 10 months now. Nothing broken / bent so far.
He is changing to a Max Power frame though (because of couplers).

I think they are really solid frames for the price and look great in raw + black fork. Had ordered a VeloLucuma already, else I would have gone with a FixieFoxie as well.

  • It'll be FBO and I'm just gunna have disc tabs on the fork. They say it'll take 8 weeks from receiving a deposit, which will give plenty of time to source the new parts needed

    sort of.

slightly smaller (-2cm st and -3cm tt) and slightly higher bb.

    both good things.

Also, I really like the Steamroller, and recon that with some 38c tyres and the original fork would make a pretty rad daily ride.

  • Has anyone considered the Cotic Roadrat as a polo frame? I saw one at work, the small size I think, and it looks really strong, with OK geometry for polo too. Also has disc brake mounts and lots of tyre clearance, which I'm not too bothered about, but I know a lot of people look for this in a frame.

    F+F for 300 quid

  • 57.7cm ETT in even the small size is much longer than I'd look for in a polo frame, I'd want steeper angles and less rake on the fork too. For that money you could get a Fixiefoxie or Hija.

  • its pretty loooong.

  • Toe clearance, you'd has it.

  • From memory, the Roadrat comes in a short and long top tube, not sure what difference it makes to the length/geometry....

  • Their website seems to be suggesting they've now done away with that approach, and just have one ETT for each frame size.

  • I thought about getting one for a while. Came to the conclusion the fork might not be the best for polo unless you're a leftie as the disc mount's on the drive side of the bike

  • Didn't max have one years ago?

  • F+F for 300 quid

Why not get a Marino / Velo Lucuma or Fixie Foxie polobike?

  • or a 2nd hand fgfs bike on here....

  • Get a Pompino, you know you wanna ;)

  • When are you opening "Beagle's pompino boutique?"

  • Pomptique?
