Don't be put off by the fact that there appears to be a lot of traffic at the start, once you're half a mile up the road you enter a 40mph zone and have a bike lane to hover in, and once you're through West Kingsdown the traffic dies right down.

If you're riding there the organiser will let you throw your belongings into the boot of his car.
