A tale from my driving instructor who I pointed to this thread:
He got a phonecall from his ma years ago. On the housephone, before mobiles. He answered the phone and... "I am in the car, I've totally destroyed myself!!!"
Instant worry "What have you done?" Turns out she had pood liquid diarrhea all over her car and wanted him to come get her and drive the car back.
He loved how she called it "Destroyed herself". But he let her drive the car back.
A son's love has limits I guess.
