A good friend of mine who looks like Ciq (with a bit more face hair) moved to Argentina in 2001 and thought that his nickname was "bear" because whenever he was in nightclubs blokes used to refer to him as "oso" or ask him if he was an "oso".
He then learned spanish and realised that it wasn't really a nickname.
