Dempsey's off to Seattle for about what we paid Fulham for him. Shame to see him go, I know it took him a while to settle but be scored some vital goals and though be looked out of sorts, it felt like we didn't get the best out of him.
Is this another World Cup year thing, where players suddenly need first team football to be in with a shout of going to the upcoming big tournament and transfers are soon coming?
Right now it seems like we're shifting out players but it feels like the wrong ones, Caulker, even though we are down on center backs, Dempsey, an unconventional forward who scores goals, but may not fit into the new system, but has premier league experience..
Seems the weight is going to be placed squarely on the shoulders of holtby, siggurdson and Dembele.
Despite all the rumours of bids and interest players who I thought would be out the door, Livermore, Parker, Huddlestone and Asso-ekotto are still on the books.
