First build I have seen a chub look decent, paired with those rotors. Looking Rad, even if it is a visp

Went out to catch today's glorious weather.
Changed bar tape to try some of the Newbaum's cloth tape (£10 for 2 rolls) I have read good reviews about. So easy to wrap and stretch round the contours of the bar. Doubt the pearly white colour will last though judging by the state of the £40 brooks tape that came off the bars. Won't be spending that amount of money on tape again! The Newbaum's feels soft to touch which is perfect as I like riding with no gloves. Would highly recommend, they also come in an abundance of colours.
Also thinking of looking at a new saddle for the bike. I did have a look at the Fizik Arione/ Antares. Not sure whether it would suit the more classic steel frame. I did borrow a test saddle to try out from the lbs, but still kind of hard to visualise because of the garish yellow it comes in!

Nice paint skills! Much better effort than when I did it! Was toying with changing the bar tape too to black. I think I would take one in white if I did choose to change though.

photosoup,
here's one in full white, black tape takes a bit too much time because of the white cable routing interfering. supporting the full black/gray thing though -

Have you tried barrotation?
Good for the soul. -

put a ghetto rack on the weigh after already changing the bars a week before.
the rack is a generic "diy" shop which cost me 20€.
chopped a piece off and out to make it fit. will explain later more with pictures since im in a hurry. i guess shes ripe for the ratbike thread. -

Bought a renovated 653 Rourke frame off here , but it arrived with a pretty big chip on the headtube.

any suggestions about what I should do? The seller has offered to send some touch up paint - is this any easy enough thing to touch up? I'm a bit of a beginner when it comes to this.

It's not going to be very noticeable once the headset is installed.

Thought about that Brooks C17?

I did think about it, but I don't think they are available right now. Brooks seems to have shut their online store for the holidays. I don't know the exact price for one. Do you know how much dollar I would need to fork out for one?

I think Brooks England is run from (closed for August) Italy.

I assume there are easily 1000 suckers who will have hoovered up the numbered first batch at €145, so you'll have to wait for the general production ones at €125, which will probably be £119.99rrp

I think I've convinced myself that my bum's happy on a Concor so I'm sticking with that for now, but I'd be quite happy to go back to an Arione (probably in white) as another option.

Just went out for a ride and I paid attention to what was bugging me and it feels I need some more support in the middle or less support. I don't know, but all I know is it's not comfortable at the moment. Should I try a saddle with a gap in the middle like a Specialized Toupe?

I understand that - it's more the point that it was advertised as in perfect condition, so was obviously damaged in transit. I shouldn't be covering the cost of this.
How much will it cost to get something like this fixed? Any recommendations for somewhere in London that can do this?
