The pace, were this ride to happen, would be steady, either at generic TNRC pace but with less stopping, or a little faster depending on personnel. All of that is relative to the terrain of course, and also takes my 69.6” gear into consideration. The amount of climbing is more akin to the Kent rides than the Essex ones. Some of the shallow descents are lengthy enough to be ‘noticable’ on fixed.
There isn’t any off-road, but after a night of torrential rain, the lanes at the foot of various slopes had been transformed into what looked like dried up river beds.
I’d hope to get round in ~2h30, including stops. I did it in 2h11 on Sunday, including stops, but they only amounted to a minute or so to check if deflated riders needed any assistance. I wasn’t anywhere near the rivet.
