My favourite entry - "Lucky Pierre" - look it up .........Edited by William H Bollocks and printed in Anus House.....priceless!

Don't Evans and Cyclesurgery usually check the website on their computers too if you want them to price match?
-
• #83
The words "online" and "in-store" are standard English usage. For a fuller explanation of the need for a hyphen in the latter, you will need to consult a book on English grammar.
I can't see that there's any need for anger and obscenities. I've always believed that cyclists are a nice bunch of people.
Don't send me another pm....I deleted the last one unread!

Technically yes, but I its no change out of the employees pocket, and the guy that served me couldn't give less of a shit, I imagine it's like this 99 percent of time.

I just remember Evans always look it up but very rarely go to cyclesurgery. Think I am gonna try my luck tomorrow and if it doesn't work then I am gonna use "do you not want some money behind the till" excuse.

and for those who have missed, Hasn't Halford done something similar once or twice in the past? Not selling them as £32 straight, but like 3 for 2 or something? it would work out a pretty sweet deal too.

Anyone had a despatch email from evans yet? I've had the order confirmation email but nothing else yet...

Unfortunately Evans would not price match for me via the customer service centre as Halfords are showing out of stock. Does anyone have a code please so I can get a black one.
Thanks

the black Brooks is also my first Brooks, is what i'm reading in the paperwork supplied true? do I really need to rub it down with a mixture of 50/50 linseed/dragon piss mix whilst wearing a frog on my head during a full moon in order to get the full life out of the leather?
Any goods tips on navigating the apparent minefield of Brooks treatment? or is it one of those things that people tend not to do and its always fine....?

I think your comical skepticism at the excessive preparation techniques suggested in Brooks' supplementary instructionals is a sentiment adequately expressed in my own post (see the excessive exaggeration of Brooks', actually much more modest, requirements, whereby I reference esotericism and the occult, as well as medieval medicinals in my, perhaps meager, attempt at satire)
However, I thank you for your alternate take on this 'don't fuck around' and 'no nonsense' approach.
If I decide, on the advice of others, not to apply any treatments and to simply ride the saddle as it was sold, I will be sure to partially credit you for this in my memoirs to the effect of 'BlueQuinn was always a fellow who had a real old -school, straight-down-the-line, no bullshit approach to cycling and I always respected him for that. He wasted no time treating leather saddles, and certainly would not entertain the notion that others might toy with such frivolities.'

Haha, congratulations, I'm assuming the shipment went out?
What are you going to do with 8 of them?

What brown? Honey brown or dark brown?

The Honey seem to be available at Halfords for collection.
I Searched for stock in Reading and all three closest stores showed available and I have one to collect tomorrow:)
Would have prefered black but still.
