It really doesn't matter what size tyres your running as long as they're properly fitted and they're the right sort of tyre (i.e. you're not trying to run tubs with tubes or something daft like that). I run 23c on the front of my bike and 25c on the rear (they aren't even the same brand of tyre) and I know many people that do similar. All that matters is that your tyres are properly seated on the rim and that they are adequately inflated.
