  • It's fuckin ash trees and their jism spurting...

  • Well, I'll be riding around from about 6:30pm if anyone wants to join me. Black Torm jersey, Kask helmet, LMNH cap, grey gears with white tape and saddle.

  • 7ish.
You fancy some hills pre? - have a nice route up Hampstead x

(Just realised you won't get this.)

  • Went for a few laps. finished at half six

  • Got up to 50kph drafting a moped up the hill this evening. Hoho.

  • Lost another bottle (ever get the XLAB P-Cage Mini Wing System) on the way up to Hampstead: shit.
Never mind, ended up boshing out 100km with a couple trips up the hills, so all OK.

There are some seriously fast fuckers out there. Disheartening. "It's OK, they won't be here in three hours... To make you feel slow then."

  • Indeed there were some quick people out there yesterday. Went around with a nice chap on a red BMC for a while, who almost (and could have at any time if he wished) dropped me. Then someone on a nice Klein who kept sprinting off. Just shy of 19mph av, but that included pootling around town in rush hour traffic before getting to the park.

The BMC chap sounds like my mate Tom. He's got a good turn of speed for sure. Trying to do laps with him onn 49/19 is an exercise in cadence I'll tell you.

  • there was a tall guy last night on a pinkish pinarello prince who was an absolute monster. cruising at 26mph at least

  • ^^ After a bit of Strava stalking, I think it was. We kept a good pace and I was most appreciative of his wheel!

  • Tenners!

Yeah sounds like Tom. Told me he had a grand ride and settled in with 3 or so guys taking turns. Hopefully out there next week with the pink lo pro at 56t Dura Ace chainring...

I read that in tune! Fuuulll geeeaaar.

Was the person on the Klein a) female and b) wearing a pink gillet?

  • Male, white jersey!

  • 19average?! were going to have to work on that

i leave disappointed unless i average over 23

  • ^ Beast! See you there next week then I guess.

That was me on the BMC, you must of been the gent I complimented on tearing the big group apart with a surge on the Eastern side. I'd done a turn and was at the back and nobody wanted to follow your lifting of the pace. After I bridged, we held a good speed. Always nice to actually work with other riders. I averaged 21 for 30 miles, seemed very stop/start and lots of evasive action required.

I may well see you there in the weeks to come.

    FTFY. I am disappointed, Tom.

Ah, yes!. Hello! See you out there again dude. Good riding.

  • Going to try and get a quick hour in on thursday before heading over to excel to register for the surrey 100.

Weather permitting but looks dandy at the moment.

You have anywhere good to store a bag?

  • Google 'the hub, regents park'. Has lockers.

  • Okay I will make my thursday night hour of power debut!
But I need to get to excel before 8pm to register for the surrey 100
so I will start and leave little earlier

Anyone ever actually used the hub lockers?
Being london ill assume there is a cost involved.

  • I have used them, as did C.B. (never forget).
It's either 50p or a quid, can't remember. And you get it back when you take your stuff out. Magical.

  • Last time I used them was a year or so ago, mind; things may have changed since then :/

  • Hiya,

I've just joined the forum. Would love to join you guys. 18:30 at the gates by York Bridge?
