In unrelated news, I haz pointy hat. After many years of nobody making one big enough (I take a 7⅝), Bell Javelin actually fits, and quite nicely. Not horribly expensive either from http://www.fatbirds.co.uk/advancedsearch.aspx?Term=javelin

Based on tonight's performance, I don't think it's any better than my pointy head, but it might not be any worse.

tl;dr "hippy looked so sexy in his lid so I thought I simply must have one!"
