Well, so far it seems that a shiny head is faster, since my H10/2 times this week were 24:01, 24:05 and 24:23, with the slow one being with the hat. However, I think the conditions might have been a bit slower tonight, based on being much faster coming back than going out, whereas on Tue and Wed I was pretty even. Optimum condition on there actually have you going faster out than back, so the further you get from that the worse it is.
Anyway, if it's only a little bit slower than a shiny head, it's a worthwhile upgrade on my other hats for those days when I want to keep my head warm.
