Thanks for the input on the Nexus 4 - I've ordered my giffgaff sim & will order the phone tonight.
^^ I cancelled my longstanding Orange contract about a month ago and went with the Nexus 4/GiffGaff option. I really can't recommend both of these highly enough.
I seem to get better coverage than I did with Orange and the Nexus hardware is seriously good for the money. The missus is now going to get rid of the iPhone and the T-Mobile contract and follow suit.
i've got a Giff Gaff SIM as well, intending to sign-up to the £10/m PAYG deal (featuring 1GB of data).. surely the internet can only be faster than Orange (which i've always found to be pretty sluggish)..
an accquaintance reckoned O2 compressing images (or something like it) was a 'deal killer'; seems a little over-blown to me, any issues to be aware of?!
ps. can somebody join me in a Fairphone purchase so that we can compare notes on it (hopefully they'll get it out this year in some ethical form or another!)
Latest Cyanogen got stuck on the boot screen for me too, so I re-flashed the previous one. Didn't lose anything though, maybe due to a different partition layout?
depsite spenidng a few hours of a holiday trying to place Cyanogen onto my Nexus 7 - didn't quite manage it (!) - half-pint bought at Norths Birthday (this Tues) for the clearest foolproof and quickest-to-implement method / instructions?!
