Don't post links to ads for your own goods on sale elsewhere.

Hi,
I have just joined after lurking for a while. Just thought I would introduce myself.
Originally from Worcestershire, but I have been living in London for 8 years now because of work and have resided in Hackney from day one.
Currently in the process of renovating my dads old Bob Griffin that he had made in the early 80's. It has just come back from argos cycles, after a good bit of filling and a re spray it is looking good as new.
I have some before and after pics that I will post up in the builds/projects thread for anyone to have a peek at if anyone would be interested.
Grew up around cycling because of my dad but after hard times in the family could never really afford a bike to ride around on. sob sob sob
Now things have turned for the better I can finally get riding. Looking forward to learning from you guys and hopefully contributing as much as possible to this forum.
Cheers.

Hey all,
Just moved to London from Australia.... original, I know.
I was commute riding for 7 years back home and keen to find a bike over here ASAP. I'm hoping that I can jag a quality second hand bike and meet you guys on the road!

Check out the for sale thread for the Foffa. I hadn't heard of them before, but I know a lot about them now.

Sweet jesus there's a lot of smack to on the Foffa post!
Thanks for the heads up on that one, but at £500 its a LITTLE pricey for my budget - plus I'm looking for a quality banger that can be chained up around town without fear of theiving bastards!

Brought under the misapprehension that Viking is still a marque?

Hi, I can't start a thread yet, I bought a fixie a few weeks ago I was loving it, until I hit a pot hole in the middle of no where 12 miles from home,
My rear rim is bent and flat,Any sujestions on where to get new affordable decent rim,
Also are mag wheels just for aesthetics or are they ok for road use?I'm new to this so unsure of what to search for
Thank you
Martin.

ftfy; "Fixie" is quite a frowned upon word on this forum. -

What would you consider affordable?
Greetings. I used to be a prolific poster on a Popular Mountain Biking Forum until I got bayned for life (for upsetting those with a cuntish disposition). I enjoyed posting about art, architecture and stuff, so LFGSS seems to be perfect for me!
I also ride a bike sometimes.
