Was pondering last night how the justification for royalty has slipped, over the ages, from God's own representation on Earth to simply being a good boost for the tourist industry.
Notwithstanding how the lizards feel about this monumental downgrade it does beg another question: How much would the tourist industry be boosted if we used all of that money to offer Free flights to the UK and a lovely big hotel on the end of the mall. Cab fare from Heathrow thrown in...
