There was some fairly fierce resistance to the idea of having a training thread, so I'll put this here.
I raced last night, had to stop off at Saino's on the way home as I felt like I was starting to bonk- for the first time in years and years.
Grabbed a bottle of lucozade and all was well, went home, stuffed my face, went to bed.
One thing I noticed was that my resting heart rate was ~15 bpm higher than normal a couple of hours after the race, and when I woke up this morning (after a frankly terrible nights sleep) my HR was still ~5bpm higher than I'd expect.
Is this just fatigue, of fatigue+dehydration, or some other biological process?
I was 2kg lighter this morning than I was yesterday morning, despite drinking ALL THE WATER after my race.
