i made sure the rear/front mech, chainset, shifters and BB all match just so its 100% with shifting, chainlines etc etc. going to get a more era in keeping brakeset (campagnolo athena, shimano 600 .. modolo??) when i cba
other than that - yeah it was essentially pick and mix, parts i like as well as ones i'm comfortable with, all works very well together, its generally a lovely bike to ride! took it down to dorset with my dad, gets some good pace, handles well, not had a single complaint.
