I've had some more sturdy wheels for everyday use made - H+Son TB14s on old campag 9-speed hubs, with 25mm tyres. I was surprised just how much smoother it is over rough country lanes. It was not easy tracking down a 26mm thread lockring for the rear hub, but got a new Marchisio for €9 from Clemenzo in Berlin. The handlebars seem to point up in this photo but I'm sure it doesn't look like that in real life! I think I might try either Deda 215 or Cinelli Giro d'Italia handlebars, and I'd like a longer seatpost still. This ones at the limit but I feel I now need a cm more height...
