I think this may be Elliot Bank. Forest Hill area (after Canonbie on the route). Winds snakelike up landscaped gardens with smallish modernist blocks of flats, then a dirt road atop of it with gardens.
Or Pepys Road, perhaps? In Hatcham aka Telegraph Hill, New Cross Gate. Not on the route this year. Residential road, with a park on the right halfway up, late victorian bay-fronted buildings, some quite substantial. This road is totally straight. Before Canonbie on the route 2012.
Any help?
