Loin but his achievements/goals have been put in the shade by how much better Bayern's current front man is and also Lewandowski. He's a bit of a throwback Andy Carroll with better control and movement. I know that is doing him a bit of a disservice but his flaws have been shown up by the other strikers in the Bundesliga. Why him and not a cheeky punt for Dzeko, who could be available for a decent price, and is younger?
The guy has a goal every 0.6 games through his whole career!
He doesn't work for the team like Mandzukic, but scored 2 less goals from 7 less appearances and more of those from the bench.
When Dzeko made the step up he failed to notch goals, when Gomez made the step up he scored even more goals!
I would have him over Higuain, at 27 he is very much at his peak. It seems as if us and Madrid are at loggerheads over Higuain's price, so maybe there is still time to go in for the real super Mario!
