  • I have two fixed bikes and after my holidays, if my knees are still okay after my trip, then I'll start to save money for a roadbike. I noticed that the cheap parts I've bought in the past for my fixed have all been replaced. I just don't wish to spend a lot of money on a roadbike. I'd prefer to buy it second hand or in parts (easier on my heart to buy one piece a month). Any tips on what kind of roadbike I should buy? Maybe a good brand that I can start with that's pretty "cheap"? I do wish to ride aluminium because it's more rigid then steel. I have a (according to myself) decent ammount of knowledge on fixed bikes, just nothing on roadbikes besides the fact that I start drooling everytime I see a Cervelo S5
