So, team from Europe exerts itself maximally playing another world. Class team from Europe in conditions not best suited to either. 2 days later plays team from said local conditions, who have had an easier route.
And team that wins this competition has never won the world cup? But team that won this edition are being touted as world champions elect?
I seeeeeeeee.

You've also missed that Brazil had an additional day's rest, only had a 1 hour flight back to Rio whereas Spain had a 4 hour flight, Spain played for 120 minutes + penalties with one day less rest, and there were of course the rumours about the partying that went on in the Spanish team hotel.
Allegedly Shakira Shakira isn't impressed.

You've both missed THE FACT that the Spanish first XI played one less game as they sent their second string out against the mighty Tahiti, but no one cares. It's not an important competition or anything.

Who cares about that, even though I did start the conversation.
Tottenham in for young Eastern European starlets. £17million for teenagers. Ones the new modric, the others a defender. Buy 'em young, sell 'em on.
This feels like a Baldini signing but I'm sure we were rumoured to be hovering around them before. Here's hoping we agree terms and sign someone/anyone before the window shuts.

Can we stop saying the young Modirc, the new Drogba, the next Maradonna etc.etc. etc.

Andy Carroll and Titus Bramble out on the lash together, what could possibly go wrong?
-
• #83622
Well you could play them interchangeably in their respective positions and the net contribution would be the same.

Wasn't Titus caught up in that "roasting" thing years ago?
