The Steamroller is no closer to track geometry than road geometry and the low BB makes it feel more like a road bike to me.
As for feeling the weight - the Condor Tempo appears to be around 1.8kg and the Surly is around 2kg. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't feel the difference in 200g, my own body weight changes by that amount on a daily basis depending on when I weigh myself.
