He's going to be the lead driver in Porsche's LMP1 team. He's publicly stated that he looking forward to being able to drive flat out, and not have to manage tires etc. Its not like Webber is going to increase his WDC chances by moving team and I'm guessing that despite the fact he is not a tax exile like most drivers the guy is not short of a bob or two. Why shouldn't he make a clean break and enjoy his driving years while he can away from the media spotlight that is F1. If you look at the sports history it is full of drivers who should have retired long before they did and their reputation suffered Webber was a good F1 driver who maybe could have been great if he took the contract he was offered at Renault instead of going to Williams but we'll never know.
Kimi has stated he has made no decision yet, Red Bull have other options but won't take a complete rookie, seats will free up for drivers in some of the better teams. Don't forget that Lotus could be looking for two drivers if Grosjean has any more upsets. As a Scotsman I'd love to see Di Resta get a decent drive but I do fear that he may have ballsed up his chances when he dropped of the pace in the second half of last season, that said if he can sort out the qualifying demons of the last couple of races he could bring himself into contention.
