It's funny, at the time of each purchase many said that Chris Evans overpaid for both his 250s.
James Coburn's old 250 GT California apparently didn't even have its original engine, and the Series II GTO he paid so much for needed a considerable amount of work before Ferrari Classiche would even grant it a certification.
Evans apparently made £6.5 million profit when he sold the GTO last year. Madness.

What's even crazier though, is what Anthony Bamford paid for his Series I GTO.
He didn't technically 'pay' for it, he swapped one of a pair of ex-007-promotional Aston Martin DB5s for it, for which he had paid the grand total of...
Fifteen hundred quid.
