  • Is this purely for you to use while recovering from your injury, or will you use it for interval training later on?

If you could afford it, I'm sure Smallfurry would recommend this one :-) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cycle-Ops-SuperMagneto-Pro-turbo-trainer-/221243008398?pt=UK_SportGoods_CyclAcces_RL&hash=item33831c658e

If not, then there are usually a lot of barely used 2nd hand trainers out there closer to your budget.

I definitly can recommend it. I ordered a fluid2, and recieved this upgrade instead. Its an awesome turbo. Even quieter than a fluid, great smooth resistance ramping, and the different resistance curves (there are 4 settings) are great for fine tuning your workout. I like the linterval setting as it brings fast efficient suffering.
The pro frame is rock solid too. I do out of the saddle 800 watt sprints on it. Without it budging.

    Pretty much, yes.

Watch out for the possibility of leaky fluid units though.

I'm not sure magnetics can leak.

Although I have no idea magnets work. So dont quote me.
