Is the rack steel or aluminum? Steel stays especially would be squishable/re-drillable. Ultimately a well-suited bike for the job, well done.
i managed to sort the angle of the dangle re the rack a little, though i did try in old situ with a reasonably heavy load and was good with no squishing or drilling, i simply moved the bolt to the next hole up
