Shimano BB-UN55 is available with Italian threads, as are most of the modern external BB systems, so being lumbered with silly threads doesn't mean you have to compromise on cranks.

Didn't do a build thread. It's a 53 at the front with a 12-28 on the back. I've got a different wheel with a 13-17 that I'll use for flat races.

Thrust if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for that if you're considering it your pub bike? That's the sorta thing i'd make my pride and joy (then again i don't have that wonderful Rossin)

finally found some 36 hole superbe pro hubs at a decent price

Currently building something with 52T chainring and a 14-18 block. A spare wheel with bigger sprokets would make sense...

I have no intention to race though...
