They work well enough. Not being plumbed in is a bit of a pain. We now have 3 in the office running at a pretty high duty cycle. The scale light comes on quite soon after a descale so I guess as with anything in London it'll need regular descaling.
Grind is selected using a twiddly knob thing under the flap, hopper holds a fair amount of beans, water reservoir holds a lot of espressos, not so great for mugfuls. The steam wand I haven't played with much.
Cleaning out the grinds from the insides is fairly easy - the grinds bin pulls out and is easy to empty and the filter/grouphead/whatever it's called unit is easy to remove and soak.
I'm amazed we haven't managed to kill one of these machines yet.
