in fact most have the hoods a bit high up, i prefer it too as it creates a bit of a bull horn bar effect and it's easier to brake on the hoods..i am not a mamil btw..

the bar tilted up a bit just doesnt look good on a picture, apart from that it's just personal preference, unless you are that much of a snob that you want to be uncomfortable to look good..

Pros ride in big groups over long distance. You're average MAMIL, like me, ride far shorter distances, often alone. So you could say we should be in the drops more than the pros. So the gears should be more reachable.

Bullshit aside. All the flash gear we MAMILs buy to look/feel faster, is kinda wasted if its not set up in a way that looks/faster ;)
