The Premier League has actually apologised to Chelsea. This must be a first.
They acknowledged that it was wrong to post a story on their website saying that Mourinho had joined Chelsea. They had been preparing the story to be posted once the announcement was made.
In the meantime, the Real Madrid president has stated that Mourinho is coming home.
Speculation is that the announcement will be made tomorrow and that it will be followed by the spectacle of Mourinho descending to earth from the clouds surrounded by a choir or two of angels scattering blue rosé petals as they come to earth with trumpets blasting and a cacophony of noise and celebration.
