Have you finished building the Gary Fisher 29er?
I've yet to start it, I need to acquire a front wheel. Should make a start next weekend all being well.

These guys ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ should know their way around pretty well by then, so they can guide you :-)

I'd be happy to ride from central to save additional train fare dorrah, how far is it?
-
• #681
You can ride nearly the whole way canalside - about 20 miles from paddington.
-
• #682
I find riding along the Canal frustrating on the way there because I can't go as fast as I would like but it's a fun way to take it easy on the way back,

It's pretty quiet from Epping to Victoria park and vice versa but agreed the central bit can be a horror-show.

The route I posted would be my fastish route which uses a small portion of the canal up from springfield park.
Howard, +1 for the Jetwash. The guy at stow station wanted to do it for nothing as "practice"!

I'll sadly be gone by then, but my apprentice rangers can give you a guided tour :-)

Next stokey mate, minus the horrendous rent. £1000 a month for a 2 double bed, doubling the size of our current flat in canonbury (£1500pm) and gaining a decent sized garden.
Only adds 3 miles on to the commute.
Plus nice and close to epping forrest! You should visit walthamstow village, you may be pleasently surprised. I certainly was.
When the gf initially suggested it my first reaction contained expletives.

My condolences.
Only kidding - I grew up in Walthamstow and spent the first 20 + years of my life there.
I feel I've earned the right to insult the place when it managed to produce a degenerate like me ;-)

Walthamstow village is where you WILL get mugged.
-
• #697
I second this. I was mugged on the way to school in the village. My lunch money got jacked :(

I once went on a date with a guy who used to write his address as 'Sunny Walthamstow'. He was odd.
-

'Sunny Walthamstow'.
The irony being that Walthamstow is actually a huge underground network of caves.
