Behind The Candelabra is top notch. MIchael Douglas is exceptionally good as Liberace and Matt Damon is on form too. Not eligible for any Oscars as it was funded by HBO for television after no Hollywood studio would put up the money. How can you sell a film about a gay couple? Impossible! There are no car chases, no CGI of any sort, not a single comic book super hero, and you only get the tiniest glimpse of Damon's backside.
What sort of an adult wants to watch a film aimed at people over the age of 13?
