So my bb is creaking like a creaky thing and when I went to inspect it last week I sort of threaded the pulling threads on the nds arm. In my moment of shrill facepalming I just put the bolt back on and it went away.
This morning I rode to the station, no creaking, but when I got off it's when I noticed the noise.
I had no access to a 14mm socket to check the bolt today so rode slowy cringing expecting the bb to externally implode.
My question; if I were to assume the crank bolt is tight enough and the threads do not have enought to remove the arm then probably the bb is at fault and may need tightening or replacing, will I need a new crank arm and is this a job for the lbs to remove and replace if I were to source a new arm?
