Recently I met Ken (whos bike that is) in Auckland. We talked about the london forum. I was simply welcoming him to the shit storm that is the forum (and you cant really deny that). His bike is really nice. I told him that in person. Its even in my colour.
You may get off your high horse now.

Good job on the SAB, Agustin, looks sweet. Ti post and stem too, well fancy :)
-
• #78585
Yeah, nice SAB. What frame is that?

I know some of you won't like the white saddle & tape, but with black it looked so dull
Agreed!
Lovely bike! As opposed to what some said, I believe the brake levers look good!

Only the brakes to go;

What's that stem? Is it an old one or a modern repro of that style?
-
• #78589
Velo Orange steel, bit stiffer than an alu stem, fed up of bar flexing when getting out of the saddle which is more regular on a fixed wheel bicycle.

poor Dream machine, have to say i much prefer the Dream machine! Hopefully it gets fixed!

^^ love the kogswell Ed, looks classy and with sensible clearances etc... I wish my fixed had room for mudgaurds...

Hi sorry to but in, only just joined and still getting to grips...
This seems to be the place to show projects and builds so thought i'd post mine. Im not sure what the original frame is it had been resprayed when I bought it. Stripped all paint off and gave it the rust treatment. All parts are new ;-)

Seatstays are most curious - are they the original ones?, are they actually bent in real life or is it just the photo or my eyes? where they always bent? are the dropouts original too? any idea of who made the frame?
Interesting build by the way! -

Me too, but the Kogswell were cheaper, and freshly painted too.
Bit annoying that the screw under the brake bridge was painted over that I couldn't removed it meaning I can't put a rear brake let alone mudguard.
The ride feel good, a trifle stiff and dull after being used to my 853 audax bike, especially the noticeable lack of flex on the fork, I suppose it's inevitable after having a high end frame.

It got more clearance than the Surly Steamroller, which is pretty good.

Ed, I have never found trifles to be stiff or dull.

Yeah, nice SAB. What frame is that?
SAB frames were handmade in San Marino, bought it from planet-x..
Agreed!

Yeah I know - sorry, I meant what model? I have a Domagnano in the mail for a beginner road bike I'm building for a friend
-
• #78599
No idea what model it is, they didn't mention that on their website.. all I know is that it was made of columbus nemo tubes.
-
• #78600
I'd never heard of that tubing so gave it a Google and found nemo.
I don't know if 747 nemo was the only type?
^^ love that
