Imaging what would happen if you brake gently in a curve unladen.
Also if it's custom built then why not lower the cargo on the trailer?

It should, the bigger tyres would provided a lots more suspension, the original Goeland trailer even have suspension as well as wider tyres;
all this work and then brakes like that...
Brakes are Dura Ace centerpull, and they're very powerful;
The stand would be neat if the pedal didn't have to come off.
I think the eggbeater have those EZY adaptor that allowed you to removed the pedals without tools.
