Depends how you sit on a bike. I'm 6'1" and my road bike is 55cm, track bike is 54cm. If you have normal proportions, you should be able to make it fit without going weird. If you have a long torso, you might find it a bit short. If, like me, you like the bars low, you may even find the headtube on a 56cm frame is a bit long.
