You could run a 650b or even a 26" on the front by swapping the forks. Problem is depending on your axle to crown, it will change your BB height and head tube angle.
Quite a few polo players run 700 rear and 26" front setups with pretty much standard MTB forks, this drops the BB a bit and steepens the head tube angle as a result of shorter axle to crown compared to the pompino forks.
