What's the cheapest way to get a network storage solution up and running? Could I make use of any of this stuff so I don't have to buy anything else?
• My old MacBook Pro
• Virgin Media Hub box
• Nintendo Wii U
• Netgear wirless router (range is better on this so I run this as well as the Virgin box)
• 2Tb hard drive
Could I use the Macbook Pro as a media server? Could I somehow hook it up to my Smart TV, store my media on it and then access that from other devices in my flat? i.e. bedroom Smart TV, other laptops, phones etc.
