Warwick Road I'm in the outer lane he decides he wants to be there so puts on indicator pulls over causing me to skid stop (yay) he rolls down the window and this exchange begins

He pulls across me and starts to undo his belt (ooer) I get off the bike and ask him in no uncertain terms to please continue to get out of your vehicle and I will glady have fisticuffs with you...I'd like to say he thought twice because I look a right double hard bastard but I doubt my silly hat and pasty legs had anything to do with and was probably the two old grumblies in the back scared shitless.

Young male, speeding and aggressive driving, nearly took out a ped crossing the road. Poplar High St.

Yesterday evening - cunt in a white merc decides to stick himself behind me in a box junction in Holborn. Guy starts beeping continuously, gesticulating wildly as if I have room to move forward - there's a bus directly in front, as well as another cyclist and a motorbike side by side, and a car wedged in on the left hand side trying to get out of the bus lane. Bloke continues bipping impatiently, by this point I'm getting a mite annoyed so give him the finger.

Then, as the lights go green for the cars on the other side of the junction, he just starts edging directly into me, pushing me sideways. Even after banging on his bonnet, he just kept creeping forward, pushing into my leg and chainset. Had to jump awkwardly sideways and lean against the car to my left to get clear.

At this point, traffic starts to move, and he clearly isn't going to pull over and exchange details as he's already tailgating the cars in front. Couldn't get the number plate due to the amount of traffic, but, unfortunately, I think his wing mirror may have been damaged in the incident.

^Wtf, I would have ripped his wing mirror off and smashed his face in for that.

I would have resorted to criminal damage at that point.

I am imagining myself in your situation. I think I'd shout a lot. I would then fantasise about pulling out my multitool or pump and creating a crater in his bonnet, but I don't think I'd be handy enough in a fist fight to deal with the consequences.

I think you all misunderstand. The wing mirror must have become damaged in a totally unrelated incident.

I did this last year, BMW driver knocked me off my bike in a bus lane, got out and punched me, got back in and drove at me - I threw my bike at his car hopine he would swerve out of the way, but he didn't. My bike bounced off his car and then he still drove at me, ran over my foot and broke my toes...

He got 8 months in prison though. And my bike wasn't damaged. Win all round, except for my toes!!!

Nice to hear of a progressive sounding response from stagecoach on this one. I wonder if it's because of all the country cambridge is one of the few places where publically pissing off cyclists can seriously reduce your revenues?

I got a similar response from Arriva in Kent. Driver cautioned, sent back to driving school and subject to plain clothes checks. Was impressed they took it seriously!
