Hand and Flowers yesterday for lunch. It's a pub and as such it's relaxed and easy going, but wow the food is stunning

I had
Demi “En Croute” of Whole Baby Truffle with Foie Gras and Port
Slow Cooked Duck Breast with Savoy Cabbage, Duck Fat Chips and Gravy
and a side of Broccoli with Hollandaise Sauce and Toasted Hazelnuts
for desert Banana Soufflé with Gingerbread Custard and Yoghurt Ice Cream
really very good indeed, I really need to get back there
The Mrs CP had
Lovage Soup with Bramley Apple, Smoked Eel, and Blue Cheese Tortellini
Lemon Sole “Grenobloise” with Noisette Hollandaise and Poultry Reduction. (minus the poultry reduction)
Hand & Flowers Chocolate and Ale Cake with Salted Caramel and Muscovado Ice Cream

Luckily it was a bit rich for her so I got a load of the chocolate cake as well.

Was thinking about heading back there on our anniversary weekend, but bloody hell it's booked up
